Evan Pickering is a longtime professional poker player who has loved fiction for as long as he can remember. He began to write fiction when he was eighteen, immediately falling in love with fiction writing, and wrote his first novel (unpublished) in the following years. After he became a professional online poker player in college, Evan dedicated his free time to writing, his true passion, until he placed 7th in the 76th Annual Writer's Digest competition in the Mainstream Fiction category. It took nearly four years for him to write and rewrite his debut novel HOOD, which immediately rose to the top ranks in his categories, and had over 1.8 million KU pagereads in the first six months from release.
