Valerie loves dancing, writing, astronomy, sci-fi, and grapes. Her motto in life is “I can be everything I want, just not all at the same time.”

Although she has yet to get paid to eat grapes, she was delighted to learn that people would pay her to study black holes, and spent much of her twenties as a black hole hunter. She later defected from academia to work on weather satellites.

While developing her sci-fi novels, she wrote and produced a series of comedic films about asexuals surviving the hypersexual world, inspired by her own journey. She continues to produce films and music videos in her spare time.

In 2017, she began publishing her New Dawn novel series, so named because every new day is a new chance to make things right.
