About the Author

Debra Castaneda grew up in the San Gabriel Valley in Southern California. She’s lived in five states, but she’s a Californian through and through. After a career as a journalist in radio and TV, she now lives in Capitola and devotes her time to writing fiction. Her mother, grandmother, aunts and uncles were among the families evicted from the Palo Verde neighborhood of Chavez Ravine.
